Malaysian mobile operator Digi has launched Malaysia’s first LTE-Advanced mobile broadband device bundles.
The new broadband plans provide customers with access to high speed internet while on the go through Digi’s LTE-A capable MobiFi device. The mobile broadband offering includes the Broadband 145 and 185 plans, which provide 50GB and 100GB internet quota, respectively.
With Digi’s all new MobiFi, customers will be able to create their own WiFi hotspot, and share the internet with up to 10 devices, including non-4G LTE-A enabled devices. These devices will initially be available in the Klang Valley and will be gradually expanded to other areas.
Digi’s 4G LTE network currently covers 72 percent of populated areas in Malaysia and is available in 150 cities and major towns. Digi reports its LTE-A network currently serves 31 percent of Malaysians.
The operator has also started a promotion to mark the launch of its new plans. Existing Digi postpaid subscribers who take up the Broadband 145 or Broadband 185 will receive a discount of MYR 25 on their monthly service bill.
