Nepal Telecom (NT) has signed 41,000 4G LTE subscribers in its first 15 days of service.
Nepal Telecom launched its LTE service on 1 January.
4G services are currently available in most parts of Kathmandu and Pokhara. The 4G services will initially be available only for post-paid subscribers. However, the operator says it plans to be offering ‘nationwide’ coverage by the end of the year.
Nepal Telecom is currently offering 4G connectivity only to post-paid users, but NT says that services for pre-paid customers will begin on 4 February.
