KT has partnered with industry players to open an organization that certifies software-based NW solutions and is also leading the formation of a body for SW-based infrastructure technology research.
In the 5G network and IoT era, innovative network technology will be required for massive data processing.
On the 4th of November 2016, KT (Chairman Hwang Chang-gyu) organised a declaration ceremony for ‘SDI Open Eco Alliance (SDI Partnership)’ to build a SW-based infrastructure at Woo-myon building in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The SDI Partnership, launched by KT, aims to develop next-generation enterprise ICT services as well as to test and standardize SDI (Software Defined Infra) core technologies in all areas of infrastructure including core network to access network.
Domestic IT companies such as Samsung Electronics, Affirmed Network, EdgeCore and Dasan Networks, Secuey, and Innsoft participated in the partnership.
