Tecore Networks, a leading supplier of innovative mobile network infrastructure, announced it is providing its HSPA/LTE Network-in-a-Box (NIB) product to Iristel, Canada’s largest Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC), and Ice Wireless, a 4G/LTE mobile network operator, for deployment across fourteen (14) communities in Northern Quebec.
Tacore Networks revealed in a press statement that Tacore’s NIB has won the contract after an intensive evaluation process. Tecore’s NIB has been selected for its all-in-one capabilities comprised of exceptional reliability, capacity, and innovative voice and high speed data features. Tecore’s NIB includes a complete Core and Radio Access Network (RAN) supporting both HSPA and LTE voice and data services.
“Tecore’s experience in deploying HSPA/LTE networks in remote field conditions has been a critical component of our network build-out in Northern Quebec,” said Samer Bishay, President and CEO of Iristel Inc. and its sister company, Ice Wireless. “They were a natural partner for us.”
“This build-out in the Canadian Arctic is a prime example of Tecore’s focus to develop, deliver and deploy robust all-in-one integrated mobile network solutions to facilitate the needs of underserved areas,” said Jay Salkini, Founder and CEO of Tecore Networks. “We are thrilled that our HSPA/LTE NIB product has been chosen by Iristel and Ice Wireless, and we are ready to begin this journey with our new partners and their dedicated team.”
